• In the main window, right-click and select New > Folder.
• Give a name to the folder (e.g. coupling slugs), which will be your project folder.
Then, since it is a TransAT–OLGA coupled simulation, a folder where the two simulators can
exchange data at the coupling boundary interface is needed. If TransAT and OLGA are run on
the same machine, a separate folder where both OLGA and TransAT will have access needs to be
created. To create a coupling data folder
• Open the explorer by clicking Start , then select Computer.
• Use the explorer to define the place where you want to create your coupling data folder.
For example, Select Desktop on the left.
• In the main window, right-click and select New > Folder.
• Give a name to the folder (e.g. communication), which will be your coupling data folder.
7.2.4 Launching TransATUI
• Double-click the TransAT icon on the Desktop.
7.2.5 Opening TransAT window
The first step in creating a new TransAT project is naming said project.
• Click to create a new project
• In the next window, navigate to the folder where the project will be saved
• To create a new project folder, click in the top right corner of the window
• Enter a project folder name, say coupling slugs, then click to create the folder
• Click to select the folder and close the browser
• Set Project Name to a more explicit name such as coupling slugs then click
After clicking , the Mesh & BCs tab will be opened.
The Geo, Mesh & BCs, Input and Execute buttons at the top of the TransATUI window
can now be selected to open the modules to set up a simulation with TransAT.
