TransAT Tutorial Manual 2.3. Flow in an obstructed pipe
• Set the following parameters:
Base Center , X−coord . : −0.1 [m]
Base Center , Y−coord . : 0.0 [m]
Base Center , Z−coord . : 0.0 [m]
Outer radius : 0.5 [m]
Inner radius : 0.0762 [m]
Pipe Length : 1.724 [m]
Points on c i r c l e : 76
• Click .
• Check Resize Mesh around Geometry, to adjust the domain around the pipe
• Click to create the Pipe and send it to the mesh
To create the cylinder geometry:
• Click Geo at the top of the TransATUI.
• Click Create Shape tab within the left panel
• In the shape selection drop-down list next to the button, choose Cylinder.
• In the text field below the drop-down list, set the name of the object to be created as
Cylinder
• Set the following parameters:
Base Center , X−coord . : 0.2 [m]
Base Center , Y−coord . : 0.0 [m]
Base Center , Z−coord . : 0.0 [m]
Radius : 0.0381 [m]
Cylinder Length : 0.06 [m]
Points on c i r c l e : 76
• Click .
• Check Resize Mesh around Geometry, to adjust the domain around all objects in the
mesh
• Click to create the Cylinder and send it to the mesh
